On June 25, Workplace Vitality Hub and Fontys Vital invite you to a deep dive into neurodiversity in the work environment.
That afternoon, we will combine scientific insights, practical experiences from partners, and recent student projects.
2.00 – 2.30 PM – Start with coffee/tea
2.30 – 3.15 PM – Presentation by Lisanne Bergefurt (Assistant Professor, Eindhoven University of Technology).
What is neurodiversity in general, what is it and what is it not? How does it translate to the workplace? Insights from a systematic review: what do we know today and what are the research gaps? What is the connection between the physical and social work environment? How can this be developed in a sustainable way? Is the term “neurodiversity” appropriate, or should we rather focus on sensory sensitivity?
3.15 – 3.45 PM – Two Fontys employees, Monica Sontrop and Loes Pullens, will share their experiences in the work environment from a neurodiverse perspective through an interview.
This includes both physical and social experiences.
3.45 – 4.00 PM – Short presentation by Eveline Vreeburg (Horizon and Katapult).
4:00 – 4.30 PM – Two students present recent projects/studies on stimuli in the work environment:
Floortje van der Zwaal (Fontys University of Applied Sciences): development of practical guidelines for the workplace. What to look at and how to approach this (through research using questions and experience mapping).
Dominique Franken (TU/e): developed a physical prototype in collaboration with Ahrend focused on improving focus in the workplace.
Short explanation by Jeanne on the further development of a prototype over the summer.
