New Strip?

The reason for this market research was the low attendance at the strip on the High Tech Campus from employees on the south side. Compass Group wanted to gain insight into their needs and behaviors to increase attendance. My task was to investigate the eating habits, food preferences, and satisfaction of these employees, with the goal of developing better food facilities.

The research specifically focused on the companies on the south side of the campus. The main questions were about lunch patterns, demographic characteristics, eating habits during breaks, and the factors influencing these.

The survey revealed that most employees take a break once a day and prefer quick-to-consume lunch options like sandwiches and salads. Proximity to food facilities proved to be a crucial factor, as many avoid the strip because it is too far away. Satisfaction with the current food facilities is mixed.

The recommendation for Compass Group is to invest in more food facilities closer to the workplaces on the south side. This would improve the lunch experience, increase employee satisfaction and productivity, and contribute to a positive work environment and team cohesion.
