Join the WellData Learning Network: Shaping the Future of Preventive Health Data Sharing
Date: 15 september 2025
Time: 12:00 - 16:00h
Location: Workplace Vitality Hub
Imagine this: you fill out a wellbeing survey, your smartwatch tracks your sleep and activity, and your phone logs your stress levels. But have you ever seen all that data combined into one clear overview? Would you share it with your healthcare provider? Would you contribute it anonymously to research?
That is exactly what the WellData project is exploring. In this cross-border proof-of-concept, we investigate how citizens can gain more control over their preventive health data and how this data can be used responsibly for public benefit. The project explores:
How to combine and visualize data from different apps and wearables
What is needed to ensure safe and ethical data handling
Under which conditions people would be willing to share data anonymously for research
The WellData Learning Network is a growing community that brings together organisations, experts and engaged individuals several times a year to explore key themes in the field of preventive health data. It serves as a space to exchange knowledge, share perspectives, and identify opportunities for responsible and citizen-driven data innovation. Previous sessions focused on an introduction to the WellData project and on the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The next session will focus on data sharing by citizens. It is hosted by TU/e, a WellData project partner, together with the Workplace Vitality Hub.
We are looking for participants who want to contribute to the development of this learning network, including:
Technology and research organizations – Do you have an app, wearable, or data platform? Let’s explore integration and research potential.
Public sector and policymakers – Interested in how citizen data can support more effective health policy?
Health and wellbeing professionals – Looking to improve data-sharing within your services?
Interested in being part of this learning network?
Join this session, get inspired, share your insights, and help shape the future of preventive health data.
